16.09.2026

The Pan-African Progressive Front (PPF) has received H.E. Ahmed Abu Dalfa, Head of Mission of the State of Palestine to the Republic of Ghana, during a courtesy visit to the PPF Secretariat in Accra.

Mr. Humphrey Abbey Quaye, Coordinator of the Front's Secretariat, welcomed the Head of Mission, who held fruitful discussions with members of the Coordinating Committee of the Pan-African Progressive Front on international solidarity and advancing the Palestinian liberation struggle.

In his remarks, H.E. Ahmed Abu Dalfa emphasized the need to carry the Palestinian cause to the people and to strengthen international solidarity with Palestine. He stated that, under international law, the Palestinian struggle is fundamentally a question of justice, self-determination and liberation, and should not be framed as a religious conflict.

He called on progressive movements to intensify public education and advocacy by taking the Palestinian cause to university campuses, the informal sector and community spaces where young people and working people can be engaged. He also praised the efforts of the Socialist Movement of Ghana and other solidarity movements for their continued support of Palestine, and encouraged more organizations across Africa to join the struggle.

The Head of Mission further emphasized the historic role of the labour and trade union movement in struggles against colonialism and injustice. He called on workers' organizations, trade unions and labour activists across Africa to strengthen solidarity with the Palestinian people through education, advocacy and international campaigns in defense of workers' rights and national liberation.

On behalf of the Coordinating Committee, Mr. Humphrey Abbey Quaye presented the Head of Mission with a number of PPF reports, resolutions and commemorative souvenirs.

Among the materials presented were the report of the 2025 November Pan-African Conference, the Accra Declaration, the Special Accra Declaration on Reparatory Justice and the resolutions of the Youth Forum on Debt and Reparations held on 5 September 2026.

The Head of Mission also received PPF publications and books containing QR codes linking to the Front's brochure on Africa's debt crisis, with particular focus on the Sahel and the wider question of debt, economic sovereignty and reparatory justice.

The visit concluded with a renewed commitment by the Head of Mission of the State of Palestine and the Pan-African Progressive Front to deepen cooperation and strengthen solidarity among progressive movements, workers' organizations, trade unions and youth in the shared struggle against colonialism, occupation and imperial domination.
